This is the D-Day map used by the allied forces to plan and execute the D-Day landings. Look close and you can see some historical documents. This is an excellent panorama to view the intricate details of the map.

Extreme closeup detail of a 'Croton' leaf, with individual cells visible upon zooming in. Hey, I coined the term 'GIGAMACRO' with this one so check it out! Very high zoom magnification possible. Composed from 210 separate images with a 200 mm macro lens. These plants were originally from the Caribbean.

Two Sisters of Old Hawaii, by Madge Tennent. I combined three gigapans to illustrate how context and detail can provide a more in depth appreciation of the artist's vision and technical prowess. I combined these images on 2010-05-02, thus no stitcher notes.

a detail of the forest ... to demonstrate, that variable exposure, auto-focus are NO problem to stitch a panorama successfully. If the objects are close, then fix-focus will never produce the bext image ... ... next step: use a different support fir the GigaPan decive to have an even lower point of view.
