  1. The successful launch of STS-129, Space Shuttle Atlantis on its way to the International Space Station. The shuttle launched at 2:28pm on November 16, 2009 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This gigapan was taken in a single shot, no post-production, capturing the launch as the second column shot.
