We are moving the Global Connections Lab, which is where the original GigaPan was developed. As a result there are boxes and piles and shelves filled with GigaPans and GigaPan components from all steps in the design process. Everything on the table is a GigaPan, or a part of a GigaPan, or a GigaPan prototype.

"So what is in those tanks?" I asked two different people that question, and got the same response. "Nothing" They were literally correct. To several significant decimal places these tanks contain nothing. This represents the majority of the nation's strategic vacuum reserve. vacuum tanks at NASA - AMES...

This is one of the many huge landmarks at Moffett Field. This is looking from the south side of the hangar on one of the rooftops of the barracks area. This hangar is truly enormous. You can find out more information about it here: www.nasa.gov/centers/ames/news/releases/2003/03images/hangar1/hangar1.html

This is a 14" gun. That means it fires a shell with a 14" diameter. It appears to be just cast randomly in a former San Francisco Bay mud flat. Pretty freaky!

From the roof of n242 - but not the roof of the tower! looking east across the San Francisco Bay at the East Bay hills. It was cold and blustery, and a tall ladder was involved to get here. Snow is visible on the hills - the snow line came down to 2000 feet or so.
