This is another GigaPan that I've attempted to stitch unsuccessfully a number of times in the past. Stitch 1.4 seems to finally have nailed it. I'm very pleased.
Another in the series of 360 panoramas I'm shooting around the Bakersfield College Campus.
... near Ballarat, California.
The rocks in this canyon wall have been butchered by faulting on the Garlock Fault Zone located just south of this location. Good luck making geologic sense of what you see.
A sweeping ~270 degree panorama in the southern Sierra Nevada Range.
Shot from the viewpoint on Hwy. 395. Not the best weather, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to GigaPan this view.
If the mass wasting seen here wasn't immediately noticed by those untrained in geology, the road damage just downhill from where I shot this would certainly get one's attention.
Unfortunately I was blocking traffic on this one-lane, one-way road, so I couldn't go back and reshoot the cloud-affected rows.
This GigaPan is a restitch of www.gigapan.org/gigapans/32017
Mount Whitney and Olancha Peak are visible on the eastern horizon.
