Shot from the Tamar road bridge in Plymouth. Less of a gigapan and more of an experiment in shooting in very poor light conditions (it was nearly dark at the time). The images in this gigapan were shot hand-held at ISO 2000.

Having got something (gigapan.org/gigapans/45969/ ) in the bag I worked a bit more carefully to get this shot which I rather like. The rain held off just long enough for me to have another go at this view with my Sigma - see www.gigapan.org/gigapans/45995/

A small (4x9) experiment using my Epic 100 and Sony H7 at maximum zoom with a cheap 1.7x teleconverter. In theory this gives a focal length of 900mm (35mm equivalent). The imager's fov was set at 2º.

This pleasant little park in Béziers has something to do with poets, but I forgot to find out exactly what. There's another pic here www.gigapan.org/gigapans/74243/ where you can see busts of famous people - probably poets. I may have uploaded the wrong version - this one looks a bit too dark to me. But m...

I tried to get a nice shot at dusk using bracketing but I had problems with Autopano (no surprise there) so this is a Stitch stitch. It is the over-exposed layer. One day, when my life is replete with joy and contentment and I need to restore the karmic balance with a bit of suffering, I will have another go at getting...
