Balanced Rock trail head in Blackwater Falls, West Virginia
This prehistoric ocean floor is the World’s largest exposure of quartz conglomerate (also called ocean spar or puddingstone) and attracts thousands of visitors yearly.
This is a 125 lb barton garnet that my family purchased in the Adirondacks. It currently resideds in the rock garden in my backyard.

The small river carves it's way through many layers of limestone, shale and even some coal near Nordegg in the Canadian Rockies.
Bill Williams Mountain and San Francisco Peaks are visible in the distance beyond the Verde Valley and the Mogollon Rim from the road between Jerome and Perkinsville.
