Not the best of photos. I should really have done this from the other side of the pond, but there wasn't time. From this viewpoint, the light levels varied enormously, leading to very bright area.

The garden is part of the Devonian Botanical Garden administered by the University of Alberta. It's a favorite venue for weddings and there were three underway while I was shooting. Drivers along Interstate 70 will recognize these oil derricks (part of a museum to the oil industry) at Russell as one of the landmarks along that road in western Kansas. Another claim to fame for Russell is that it is the shared birthplace of Senators Bob Dole and Arlen Specter.
