This view from Sherwood Park shows the storage facilities alongside the refineries operated by Petro Canada (Suncor), Imperial Oil, Envirofuels, Enbridge Pipelines. Shell has refineries north of Edmonton in the Fort Saskatchewan area in what is known as the Industrial Heartland.

A small pond just south of Show Low, Arizona, next to the US 60. I really don't know anything about it. I just saw it on a hike and thought it would look nice (which, of course, it does.)

Recently having undergone an extensive upgrade and expansion, it's one of the largest in western Canada. Most of the input and output will be for the upgrading of synthetic crude from the oilsands in Fort MacMurray.

Taken from the shoulder of Baseline Road, Sherwood Park. A super large crane is curretly at the refinery doing some very heavy lifting...at least 1000 tons. Flare stack has a flame on it about 50 feet high.
