Ferns grwoing in the fernery at the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA
The big succulent leaves in this patch near Mahood Lake were more than 3 feet tall. Occaisionally I've seen leaves grow to more than 5 feet long.
I shot this at the top of American Fork canyon on the Alpine loop.
This species, a carnivorous plant, is famous for the flowers which resemble bunny faces. Growing natively in southern Africa.
