An Easter Egg hunt on my front porch. There are three dozen eggs 'hidden', as well as two Easter bunnies, two Mainzelmännchen, one Eeyore, one Rubber Duckie, and if you look really closely you'll find the reflection of the photographer pointing to one of the hidden eggs. Happy Easter and Happy Hunting!!! [Permi...

For my hundredth Gigapan I decided to reshoot one of my earliest panoramas (www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=1877). Once again I broke out the tele-converter lens for my Canon S5-IS, but this time I allowed enough overlap between adjacent photos in order to get rid of the vignetting in the original. This one...

The mushrooms were feeling the "fierce urgency of now" as spring began to warm the FHSU campus. While this isn't exactly what I'd call a macro Gigapan, I have been trying to experiment with smaller fields of view. This one worked extremely well with autofocus rather than fixed focus enabled. The detail is really p...

It seems that I've gone over a month now without uploading a new GigaPan - remarkable, anyhow in light of the torrid pace I've kept up for most of the last year and a half. Well, the weather is improving and it's time to make an assault on the 300 cumulative gigapixel barrier, so here we go... This shot is another fr...

An ice laden limb has fallen on the bed of this pickup truck on 12th Street, just west of Fort St. in Hays, Kansas, December 11, 2007. Town cleanup crew removed it about 15 minutes later - nasty dent in the truck remains.

This is the view to the west at the intersection of Main and Seventh Streets in Hays, Kansas. Prominently featured are the Ellis County Historical Society and the Brunswick Antique Mall. The real reason I shot this, however was to capture the Felten Sculpture "Street Singer" near the center of the panorama.

Often during the summer Big Creek at this location will dry up and only mudcracks will mark its channel, but last night we had some good thunderstorms, so the creek is alive an well today. Big Creek is a meandering creek on the Great Plains of western Kansas. Historic Fort Hays was establised just a mile or so downst...

Shot with auto-focus for the foreground, which introduced a bit of "rainbowing" into the overall panorama, but not as much as I initially feared. You should be able to zoom in on the very ripe wheat ears, which were harvested just hours after I shot this GigaPan.
