Bellingshausen Research Station is located in a sheltered bay on King Edward Island in the South Shetland Islands. We are just west of the Antarctic Peninsula. Notice the station's multicolored buildings, which are evident even in Google Earth.

Robert Point on Robert Island is in the South Shetland Islands, just a bit west of the Antarctic Peninsula. The point looks pretty rugged, and the rocks made walking a bit tricky. Lichens and grass add some color to the landscape.
