This is a popular photography scene taken north of the Jenny Lake area. The Three prominent peaks on the left and center are Teewinot Mountain, Grand Teton and Mount Owen. I used a Nikon D5000 and 300mm lens.

Looking at the Tetons across Taggart Lake (Grand Teton is the tallest peak visible - on the left). Just a beautiful day for a short hike and a nice view.

Another view from Glacier View turnout - nice view of Grand Teton and nearby peaks. (Ice is a rock, so us geology-types can appreciate it too!)

Up into the Teton a little ways is this particular overlook - a popular short hike from the boat launch where visitors from the park road are dropped off by the lake ferry. (Steep, yes. Worth it? Absolutely.) (I know there's another pan on the site from this point - must remember to add the link!) This was a ful...

We ate lunch in Dubois and met the owner of the Whiskey Creek Saloon. Turns out he i...

Along the west edge of Jenny Lake, a short hike leads to a viewpoint where the falls are just visible through the trees. The falls can be heard nearby, but are hard to see if you aren't in the little clearing.

Walking back to the parking lot, the view along the hiking trail to Taggart Lake (not visible, but still there). There are a few burned lodge pole pines here - the area was completely burned out many years ago, and only a few of the burned trees remain as reminders.
