I believe this is the view opposite of the Court of the Patriarchs, in Zion NP.

Note the framework at the top of the mountain. This was used to support cables that were used to lower rough cut timber, supplies, and occasionally people from the top of the mountain to the valley floor. Also viewable are people on the trail that leads up to Observation Point.

Just before dusk, Thanksgiving Day 2008. Fixed the manual focus problem of this morning's set (d'oh). CML is Springdale's newest lodging, just outside of Zion NP.

Springdale, UT, Thanksgiving morning. Autofocus accidentally on, some artifacts around the trees.

Traffic was whizzing by as I took this one. I'd like to adjust to get rid of more of the traffic artifacts but it does add "character."

Looking out from the Lodge, the Park gives you a feeling of being on the canyon floor. (This version is built with the new gigapan stitcher and does not show the problems from the previous version. Thanks to Ron Schott)

While the view from across the park can be excellent, it's as lovely this direction that shows how much the lodge set in a valley. Canon G9 Stiching by Calico on a Mac. (Note that Calico could not stitch the entire set of photos.)
