One of the most spetacular views in a national park full of them, here one can see over two miles of vertical relief, from Badwater, near the bottom of the image, 282 feet below sea level, to Telescope Peak, in the Panamint Range, 11043 feet above sea level. The white area at the center of the GigaPan is the salt pan ...

360 degrees panorama by ancient ruins in Death Valley (and a not so ancient car that got us there) 47 degrees when this was taken, and that is considered low over there, with an average of 49! Also, going out of valley towards west is one of the best drives anywhere!

To see these ooids in cross s...

... as seen on May 28, 2010. A familiar sight to almost everyone who's been down Racetrack Valley to see the Racing Rocks. Also, even though it's a little less geological than the other GigaPans in the Death Valley NP Geology gallery, I just couldn't resist including it.

Exposed in a roadcut in Death Valley National Park. Edi and Berti and their new pals are going to be much easier to spot in this GigaPan. [Well, it turns out that though they're less camouflaged by the geology, they aren't as well focused because I chose a fixed focus rather than autofocus in this case. For cleare...
