The spikelet which measures 25mm X 10mm was placed on an X-Y stage and manually moved in 5mm steps.   4. When I first saw this sort of feature outcropping in a roadcut in Big Thompson Canyon, Colorado I thought they resesmbled dinosaur footprints.
