A different section to the one before, and I think a much improved result now that I'm more comfortable with the technique for illumination, getting the right overlaps and keeping consistent focus. 198 images taken on a converted Meiji microscope under crossed polars. Nikon D60 and PTGUI.
Some really nice complex amphibole twinning on display here, and the latered groundmass shows what appear to be patches of sericitisation from meteoric water circulation driven by the emplacement of the porphyry Cu-Au deposit at Reko Diq.
