This is the range-front fault on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada in Genoa, Nevada. The smooth grey granite face is the fault plane. In the distance down-dropped alluvial material is visible faulted right up against the fault plane. The Sierra Nevada (left side) is moving up relative the Carson Valley (right side)...
