View Northwest from Humboldt Road near Butte Meadows. This is the canyon of Big Chico Creek. highway 32 runs across the bottom of the canyon about 30 miles east of Chico. Mount Lassen is on the right side of the photo, and Mount Shasta is in the center. To the left, Iron Mountain is visible as a small cone-shaped Butte.
Some of the clearcut areas in the foreground were salvage logged after wildfires in 2008.
