    Hi John, me not. But some people did, instead of optocoupler they use a reed relay. If you want it, I will make a pic of the little adapter which I putted between the remote and the line from the robot. - Paul

    Hi John, i bougth a cheap remote cable (RM-UC1 compatible) and connected it with two optocouplers and resistors. The remote cable is plugged to the USB connector of the E510. As you should not use AF (to avoid missed pics), it works fine when cam is set to MF. - Paul

    Hi Paul - Thanks. I will check in with the forum to document what I'm doing. How did you connect the E510 by wire? I can only see doing via USB... JohnF

    Hi John, I recommend to set the Gigapan shutter to "digital", remove the servo and connect the E510 by wire. It would be nice if you post a pic in the Gigapanforum, when your Gigapan-modding is ready. Before I've got the Gigapan I made my own robot for the E510. ciao Paul
