This one is from the top of the Klein Matterhorn, 3880 m over sea level. Once again: no gigapan, but an older hand-held attempt, with the error of no tripod and no manual exposure. There is an observation platform at the peak here that basically gives you a stupendous 360° view of the Alps: you can see no less than 38 4000 m peaks from up there.
The picture is from last summer. Olympus E510, 40-150mm kit lens zoomed out to 150mm (300 mm equiv in 35mm), the originals are RAW that were simply converted directly to JPG with a high quality setting. Stitched together via the gigiapan stitcher, this is the third attempt to get a working panorama: the first had some photos out of sequence, the second crashed the stitcher. There is a total of 45 original photos in this panorama...
