    This picture contrasts the old, original bridges of the Overseas Highway, originally built by Henry Flagler as a railroad bridge to Key West in 1912 and converted to auto bridges after the hurricane in 1935, with the new bridges which were constructed in the 1970's and 1980's. Many of the old bridges, like the one pictures here on the right, have been converted to fishing bridges.
