This place was one of the first to have electricity in America. Gold and silver were king and queen here until the mine ran out. The development of leaching technology was applied to the old tailings for a few years. That helped it survive longer, into the 1930s. Fires have sweep though a few times as well. Ghosts, sometimes headless, or feet alone, may be seen walking the streets in what is now a California State Park.
The dynamic range of this subject makes it difficult to get both the shadow deatial and highlights.
