Dunderberg meadow is below the mountain of the same name North of Bridgeport California. Each night the cold shuts down the photochemistry of more leaves. Warm days create stresses that bring out the colors. This particular grove has regions with nearly identical conditions. other parts have the full range of colors within each tree, red tips, oranges, yellows and green. Each leaf can show more than one color. The quest is ongoing.
