Portland's Steel Bridge carries railroad and pedestrian traffic on the lower deck, and vehicular traffic as well as MAX Light Rail on the upper deck. It was the first railroad bridge across the Willamette River in Portland.
The second oldest vertical lift bridge in North America, after the nearby Hawthorne Bridge.
