- Description
-
This is a continuation of the recording of habitat in a part of Kiplinger Preserve which is a conservation area in Martin County, Florida. The area is now wet as we have had about 3 inches of rain in the last month. We normally would have had 12 inches so it is still drier than usual. The whisps of grass on the right side of the image is Sugarcane Plumegrass (Saccharum giaganteum). It is a native species and is a close relative of the non-native true Sugarcane (S. officinarum).
