Not one of my most technically competent images but there you go.
One of the reasons I took this shot (and its companion image www.gigapan.org/gigapans/87194/) is that this is where I learned that Falmouth was the centre of British foreign communications for 162 years. The steel-coloured bollards commemorate this fact. I guessed this image might not be good enough to read their inscriptions so there are snaphots in the bottom left of the image.
Packet ships were sent all over the world from here. You can read more about this here: www.xjt60.dial.pipex.com

As I have already written, "Your two Falmouth panoramas are very interesting. As you already know, I wish that you would spend all your time in Bath continuing building your world-famous panorama collection, but everyone needs a diversion and I am happy for your success in Falmouth;" all I would add to this comment is that next time leave cmlbath at home and take a weather man or weather woman who will be able to deliver blue-sky vistas :)
