When I was a young Boy Scout experiencing summer camp at Floodwood Mountain Reservation in the Adirondacks our troop would commonly do a 50 miler canoe trip from the Rollins Pond Canoe Base. The highlight of this trip was, without question, a "shore leave" to visit Donaldson't Trading Post. This trip I arrived by Jeep instead of canoe, but it was just as pleasing to visit Donaldson's once again.
