Taken from hill above horse stables at Catalina State Park, near Tucson, Arizona. Various traps and free hand collecting methods were undertaken, including UV sheets at night. This was our 2nd visit to Catalina in 2011. It was so dry on the previous visit that they closed the park down due to the fire hazard. When we returned in August, the monsoon season was underway. The rains transformed the park--there was grass and green plants! Gigapan taken by Grace Bannon, BIObus 2011.
