Most people are more familiar with the Hudson River near the Statue of Liberty (www.gigapan.org/gigapans/27276/), the George Washington Bridge (www.gigapan.org/gigapans/27277/ & www.gigapan.org/gigapans/27279/), or perhaps Bear Mountain (www.gigapan.org/gigapans/84829/), but less are familiar with its charms further upstream. After leaving the Barton Garnet Mine I turned to head further into the Adirondacks and was shortly met with this spectacular stretch of the upper Hudson River. Perhaps one day I'll complete this series with GigaPans of the Hudson as a small mountain river near Tahawus, NY and at is source at Lake Tear in the Clouds on the shoulder of Mount Marcy, but until then this is the farthest upstream that I've yet GigaPanned it.
There are a few frames missing, despite my vigilance. That's the price you pay for shooting with a tempermental autofocus.
