Description

Field visit during dry season to local farmers near Inapari, Southeastern Peru. Typical bean field.

The gigapan was used to facilitate the mapping of land-covers. It is essential to have an understanding of land-covers and what constitutes forest, regrowth, and crops and pasture as a means to identify land-uses (agriculture, grazing, infrastructure, fallow land, road development, among others).
