Handheld, half-spherical panorama taken from the Nubble, a 2750 foot hill beneath Giant Mountain in the Adirondacks of New York.
Much more fun to view in Photosynth's spherical viewer: photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=8899d22b-e2ef-4439-bb70-15635aba8f53
Stitched in ICE from 58 wide angle photos (28mm eq) from a Nikon D40. There were five rows of photos with 9 to 14 in each row. The kid was captured in two adjacent photos in one row and one of those images was added to two photos in the overlapping row before stitching.

fetching snapshots...

Just FYI, my site is just a proxy for Gigapans to view through a Krpano viewer. The tiles and everything stay on Gigapan, my site just delivers a different wrapper, so all Gigapans are already available in a spherical viewer, no 'loading to a site' necessary, just take the Gigapan ID and add it after www.3d-360.com/ANY-ID-HERE like www.3d-360.com/12345
!

Thanks for loading this at your site. It's good to be reminded of your cutting edge viewer. I hope the new Gigapan site has an integrated spherical viewer. Photosynth is much nicer than the Google Earth route.

Nice panorama, beautiful place. I tried it in my 360 degree Gigapan viewer here, www.3d-360.com/85260
, not quite as nice as
the photosynth version as the horizon does not
center in my viewer...
