  2. Williamson, heart of West Virginia's "Billion Dollar Coal Field", is the county seat of Mingo County, WV. Williamson is best known for the coal house and huge rail yard for shipping coal from the many surrounding mines. Many descendants from the historic Hatfield-McCoy feud still live in the area.
