The panorama depicts an area of the Vienna Mariahilf district. It is a typical scenery how the inner town of Vienna (and many other old European towns) look like. It is captured from the outdoor deck of the former flak fire control tower Esterhazypark (more about the Vienna flaktowers at www.wien-vienna.com/flaktowers.php
). Today, this tower contains the "Aqua Terra Zoo Wien": www.haus-des-meeres.at/index_e.html
