    Description:

    After the prairie dog removal, the rodent community also changed, the vacant habitat is now occupied by k-rats whose take advantage of the new niche provided by mesquites.

    Description:

    Other shrubs such as Mormon Tea (Ephedra tridentata) also grow up when prairie dogs are not present.

    Description:

    Behind the fence, in a comunal land (ejido), a prairie dog colony mantain free of mesquites the grassland, is clear the difference in both sides of the fence
