The Cycas revoluta is living fossil, coexisting in the Mesozoic Era with dinosaurs about 300 million years ago!. Commonly known as Sago Palm (although not in the palm family) it can be found growing world wide in a wide variation of climates. The male plant has a fuzzy cone and the female plant has an amazing ball-dome flower. The frawns are very tough to the touch.
