Description

An extraordinarily special place where my three daughters have gleefully explored for years; symbolic for me as co-director of the NMR Greenway Project, that facilitated a community-based environmental art project through the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry, Carnegie Mellon University, 1996-2000. As a catalyst, the project led to the formation of the NMR Watershed Association, leading to the transformation of the greenway into the 'largest urban ecological stream restoration in the United States. A large part of the stream, riparian zone and floodplain are restored to health; full of life. The missing puzzle pieces of the gigapan represent areas awaiting further renewal
