A natural growth in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. Actually, that's not true. I have tried for years to manicure this hillside in my backyard-to make it look half as good as my neighbor's landscaping but the hillside gets overgrown with what is meant to grow there. I've turned the soil over, tried to plant ground cover, tried to weed and even mulch it without success. After 12 years, we have come to call this hillside our very own "nature reserve." It's home to many birds and small mammals and much to my dismay, reptiles as well. You can still see remnants of the Lamb's Ear I planted in trying to manicure this hillside.
