  2. Along the Rockfish River, south of Charlottesville, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge province, there is a gorgeous quarry exposure of the Rockfish Conglomerate, a Neoproterozoic matrix-supported conglomerate with a mix of rounded and angular clasts, perhaps indicative of ancient (Snowball Earth) glacial outwash.
