More than 1,000 cap-and-gown-clad grads packed UC Irvine's Bren Events Center on Friday morning, the front end of a weekend-long wave of job-seekers the university is sending out into the world. "You have every reason to be enormously proud of what you have accomplished," Provost Michael Gottfredson told students from the School of Biological Sciences in a ceremony enlivened by noisemakers and air horns.
