Surfing Madonna in Encinitas - Closeup by Charlie Wallace

Closer view of this really unusual guerilla art put up in the middle of the night by people disguised as city workmen. This thing is really beautiful - but city law automatically classes it as *defacement*. It's a tad religious for a public artwork; but it's also objectionable for being *sacreligious*. The artist has not yet revealed him or herself. The city council of Encinitas is considering removing it - but this will without a doubt destroy the masterpiece. I think it should be called Our Lady of Dilemmas...
