ANOTHER VIEW: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/76735/
This is the second panorama I took May 4, 2011 prior to the game between the Rice Owls and the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks. The initial panorama can be viewed via this link: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/76593/
This panorama was taken with a Nikon D7000 camera and the 18-105mm 3.5-5.3G ED lens and is comprized of 10 stitched photos, stitched with the GigaPan Stitcher software.

Thanks to the GigaPan Stitcher software, seeing it as a curved panorama on a curved surface via the "View in Google Earth 4.2 " link can be most memorable.

It was a special moment and I did the best I could and the stitch turned out good too, but the most important focus of the panorama is the Color Guard and the three umpires, which the snapshot clearly captures and we join in with the crowd to observe this ritual: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/76680/snap shots/212486/

I prefer this version over the cropped one for a couple of reasons. First, there are more people in it. Second, the composition breaks the usual conventions an makes for an interesting, or even complex, image. Nice.
