- Description
-
A side profile of the Somuncura Plateau. Cerro Puntudo at the left (the pointed one) and Cerro Corona at the right (the one shaped as a crown). In the middle other smaller volcanic cones. All these volcanos are extinct and around 1500 meters high. The base altitude is 800 meters. The total absence of vegetation is explained by the altitude, intense wind and dramatic weather changes in the area. It can go from above 100F in Summer to -20F in the winter.
