Description

Franklinite is the black metallic mineral in this closeup. Franklinite is a ZnFe2O4 mineral named for the town of Franklin, NJ.

I've had lots of troubles stitching macrogigapans of rocks like this - this is one of the first that stitched successfully. Apologies for not including a scale - most of the franklinite grains are 2-4mm in diameter.
