110221 - Costa Rica, Area de Conservacion de Guanacaste (ACG), Volcan Cacao, Sendero Casa Fran

Small red Collembola visible near the start in the area underneath the tripod. Met Harry, Dunia and Manuel in Quebrada Grande at 7. Walked up from leaving the truck at 8:30 and got the traps open and bait out at 9:30. Windy and rainy in the morning, and windy and clear in the afternoon. Temperature around 14C. GigaPan taken at the same spot as in December 2010 (www.gigapan.org/gigapans/66722/). Spider monkeys were around, but they took no notice of me. Video of small myrmicines under GigaPan, slow moving Adelomyrmex at bait 1, and black Pheidole with abundant soldiers at bait 5.
