This is a wonderful photo. It documents a
beautiful scene as it is. I can almost smell the
dust, feel the heat, even hear the electricity
singing overhead. I don't have a problem with
the power lines.
True enough, but what I really meant was that I
wish they weren't there in the first place to
spoil an otherwise breathtaking view. I considered
setting up downslope a bit so they'd be above
the clouds and out of the field of view, but that
would have cost me the angle on the wheatfield - a
tradeoff I wasn't willing to make. I don't
mind using Photoshop to crop jagged edges out of
my gigapans and occasionally I've tried to
touch up botched stitch jobs, but I'm not
really excited about altering reality too much.
The wires were there, and as much as I think they
detract from the beauty of the clouds, they're
part of the reality of the view that I saw and
captured. Maybe I'd feel differently about it
if I was more accomplished with Photoshop, but I
feel that there's a certain authenticity to
leaving them in there, even if I would have chosen
to compose the image differently if I could have.

Hi Ron, very nice shoot. Would not be a real problem to remove the power lines with a tool like Photoshop.
