The almond bloom was late this year in California. As you can see there are hardly any blossoms on the trees.
Because the bloom was so late this year we ran in to some issues lining up beekeepers to sample for the National Honey Bee Survey. It is hard to sample bees in almond orchards when they aren't there. Fortunately we were able to pick up a few beekeeping operations to sample that we weren't counting on having lined up.
The Gigapan turned out ok but I missed us working.
