Panorama taken from my balcony on February 2nd (Groundhog's Day) 2011 during the end of Chicago's 3rd largest blizzard snowfall in recorded history with about 20 inches. Overnight the blizzard produced winds above 40 mph and rare thunder and lightning as well. All schools, local, and city governement buildings were closed, as well as Lake Shore Drive, and many other streets. Several thousand homes were without power. At the time of this panorama, it was snowing, with the strongest gusts occurring when the camera was photographing just right of center.
