This "panorama" was taken hand held and the location is close to two previous attempts: the GigaPan of Tamara, www.gigapan.org/gigapans/29445/ and this hand-held 360-degree panorama, www.gigapan.org/gigapans/37397/
The 12 o'clock area is the Hill associated with Miller Outdoor Theatre where we saw Andrea, the school teacher: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/26143/
The 3 o'clock position is the Pioneer Memorial Obelisk. The 6 o'clock position is near the entrance to the Japanese Garden where I have taken a number of panoramas: tinyurl.com/Houston-JapaneseGarden
And the 9 o'clock position is that of the Sam Houston Statue where I took the Luck in Hermann Park pano: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/25558/
This hand-held panorama consists of 30 stitched photos and was taken with my Nikon D7000 and the 18-105mm 3.5-5.6G ED Nikkor lens. And as always, more technical info can be seen via the Stitcher Notes.

I was referring to my ink-jet printer, the HP 7960 ... woo hoo :)

Are you sure about that? In the UK at least, commercial high-street printers do good work really quite cheaply.

It was a favorite of mine and at one time, I considered printing it, but realized that it would take $20 or more of black ink :(

Excellent post David. This should certainly go in gigapan's "Hall of Horrors".
