Look at the Masca valley - Tenerife Island.
The Village of Masca is one of the prettiest villages on Tenerife Island. Located above a deep gorge, it is now accessible by a narrow, hairpin road that opened in the early 1990s. There are several restaurants and bars with superb views over the ravine. Experienced walkers can descend by path into the gorge and follow it to the sea, an exciting walk taking several hours there and back. Alternatively, hikers can arrange for a boat to pick them up from the beach.
Tenerife, the largest of the seven islands that make up the Canary Island archipelago, lies between the 28th and the 29th parallel north and 16 and 17 degrees west. Slightly to the north of the Tropic of Cancer, situated in the centre of the chain, between Gran Canaria, La Gomera and La Palma.
