Description

This is perhaps the Arthrobotrys Anamorph of Orbilia auricolor.
The conidia prey on Arthropods and Invertebrates. In this case, conidia and apothecia grow on the inner side of detached bark, yet attached to decaying but still standing logs and branches of Beech trees (Fagus sylvatica).
